New York Dolls... yes i know am that kind of jump on a wagon, moving or not.... Do love a spot of Rob Zombie... he looks like the music he plays, Blackie Lawless, another notable here... best days were a while ago... still, moments are all. j

We saw Hugh Cornwell play in Springwood during our last trip to Aus - he was shockingly shite!

Team Stranglers racing in Brizzy, had one of their infamous party rages at the time the Stranglers were on tour in town, and the club being named after the group, Gaz got in touch and asked if they might be inclined to play the party. Unfortunately not.

Byron Ferrari and his mates back in 1975 ..........

Early Roxy live gigs would attract rival camp followers loyal to the two Brians ........ Eno and Ferry ....... and each group would huddle around the area of the stage closest to where their idol was stood ......

Posh suit and dickie bow tie ........ yet the Geordie accent still comes shining through ............ ( nothing wrong with that , I hasten to add ...... ) ...........

So here`s The King of Rock and Roll Neil was on about , adding his vocals to the instrumental track Steve Jones and Paul Cook completed some time earlier .......

All these re-mastered 2012 versions seem to have Paul Cook`s bass drum featured increasingly upfront , to a greater or lesser ( in this case ) extent ......

..... and The Winterland is where the Pistols played their last live gig ........ ( before " re-forming " about 25 years later ) ...........

Done this before , but not this version .........

" Rumble " was banned from being played on American radio stations when released in 1958 for fear it would encourage teenagers to fight .......

Since when have Americans needed any encouragement to become involved in fights ? ........... ( Apart from 1939 - 42 , obviously ) ..............

All good Tony and noted well the commentary, background that is all a mystery to me...

Motorcycle and the proper use of, care and maintenance as required, plaster wall included, ride through.... while never riding through a wall as such, did leave a country town abode, not noticing i had about 15psi in the front wheel, did notice when road adjacent to a paddock had a bend, did well to arrive in the paddock through the only open gate section.... skill 1% rest was a moment of fortune, good.

As a guide to riding through plaster wall, i proffer this instructive video and music to do same by, j.

Cheers Jon ......... One last one for now ........

The Ramones with clips from Tod Brownings 1932 film " Freaks " ........

They spell DUMB the wrong way the second time around ( DMUB ) ...... Dumb or what ? ........

OK ....... this really is the last one ..........

I`m only playing it because when Brian Wilson first saw this video , he was supposed to have said .... " Let me guess .... the fat one`s mine right ? " .......

Yep , afraid so Brian .... afraid so .............

( Actually two of them were his daughters, but it seems he was a neglectful father..... lost custody , and then seemed to lose track of who they were , by the sound of it ...... ) ...............

Spooky Tony... Pinhead, much cherished, played along to at every chance, that clip has some riffing not of the usual live version...

Had intended to post the dichotomy, TON "I dont wanna be me" followed by W.A.S.P "I wanna be somebody...." do feel am somebody, then i dont live on vacuous Hearders media, AKA sheep influencer(s) et al... pathetic really... why decide when you can be somebody and not somebody same time...j.

Very true Jon .......... ( # 4012 ) .........

I don`t worry about social media one little bit , because I don`t get involved in social media ...... easy ! ........

( Yes , I`m still here ) ......

Meanwhile the Pistols don`t want to be somebody , or not somebody ...... they just wanna be me ...... ( not me , obviously ) ..........

" Down in the crypt , where the typewriters ( sic ) click ...... you wanna be someone , ruin someone .... " .....

Just as relevant today regarding the pitfalls of " social " media , as it was about the gutter press of fifty years ago ........

Jon , seeing L7 gives me an excuse to play this again ...........

Suzi Gardner seems to have put on a bit of weight in your clip since 1992 ........ more fat and frightening than fast and frightening ........

But the most frightening thing of all is that nowadays they are all in their mid-sixties ...........

... and finally ......... ( really this time ) ........

Just in case you wondered where the line " Gabba Gabba We accept you one of us " in The Ramones " Pinhead " came from ........

Not so much spooky , Jon ....... just a group of strong-willed individuals in reality .........

She should have been honoured to be accepted as " one of us " ......... but that wasn`t part of the movies storyline of course .............

Always makes me laugh the songs that are banned- Johnny Cash has shot hit girlfriend dead, injected cocaine, outrun the cops and bitten off an ear- National treasure and then sent his songs into space for alien life that may have a record player!

I believe REM`s " Losing My Religion " was banned ( or discouraged ) from being played on the radio in the Irish Republic .........
Boris Bobby Picket & the Crypt Kicker 5 were banned in U.S for being in poor taste!
I briefly worked for Plastic Head records ( sticking the labels on the middle of LPs!) and one of our bands was “ The James Dean Driving Experience” which we had complaints about and an albumn called Stukkas over Disneyland which had Mickey an co being machine gunned by a dive bomber…don’t talk to me about bad taste!
