music in the shed

Another well known recording which got some broadcasters hot under the collar ..........

Gainsbourg originally recorded it with Brigitte Bardot ........ the two of them squeezing into a one man recording booth , according to a Paris sound engineer ......... But then Bardot asked Gainsbourg not to release it ..... the record that is ........ so he didn`t .............

Starting a relationship with Jane Birkin , he decided to record it again with her , in London this time ........ telling Birkin to sing / speak " as if she were a little boy " apparently , and this was the version that got into the charts ........ but not onto the radio .............

Before the records release , he got a restaurant owning friend to play it over a speaker to see if it put the diners off their soup ......... encouraged by the response , he gave it the go-ahead ..............

Ha ha. My mother was a bit huffed when my younger sister listened to it so as the whole street could hear.
Was that before or after the cannabis on the balcony?
Paul

And after a work out at the gym ......

A repeat , but it was a long time ago .........

Gay buggered off to The Netherlands to join a electro disco outfit called Go Go Glam Gestapo , or something ....... and Terry became a Pogue .......

Just rembered recording this on a cassette player off the radio back in the early ` seventies ....... ( now I`m in my early seven .......... never mind ... ) .......

Also remember seeing a clip of him doing this live on the TV some years later .....

Van Morrison normally has all the stage presence of a plum pudding , but about halfway through , for no reason watsoever , he suddenly lets fly with a karate-style high kick of such ferocity it would have even the likes of Bruce Lee slowly backing away ........

I always remember this , because it was the last thing you would normally expect a little fat bloke to do ......

Another one that found it`s way onto the Philips C90 back then .........

Hearing it again now , not sure if I like it so much ...... but there is a silver Marcos GT at 2 : 44 .......... John Noakes of BBC`s Blue Peter drove one , and I remember a metallic blue one parked halfway up the hill leaving Monmouth on the way up to Slaters .......

This was just past the girls school which had it`s motto emblazoned on the bridge crossing the road which read " To Serve And Obey " .........

Now removed , for some reason .............. .................

....... which brings us neatly onto bikini girls with machine guns .......

Lux and company sneak onto late night BBC TV ............ A repeat , so if you like The Cramps you will remember it ........ If not , you won`t .........
