Hi, best place to source a brake light switch for the front on my sf1 please. Thanks in advance.
I use these on several of my bikes: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312738726759?_skw=M10+stainless+steel+banjo+bolt+brake+switch&itmmeta=01M17MHG1ASMVPTZ0SVPSS156S&hash=item48d0ae4367:g:ZL8AAOSwsDddXUlW&itmprp=enc:AQALAAAA8GfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xD6cx+W6z/Y+F4ZJgiirfcA67sbesuB+wApb89iFz5BjPyuFR7MtXJdHHSNA6CJkqcI0JO+R6ghGBSiLXzJK2AUWdh15rrlpmj4CnSAybVVE1GpfGy9XB7QA1oG0ukUROoxZzTeHeH8xUOBkNcN2aYhaUw+HqVrIQtyxxKFMgSNlQ7P7yjJ/KPFtXEUtlHLmsOR7Kzojhan/8gp8yAv15ZbBIr6yujTUDcfZZLPyvgwGF6HGJXDaW+yR+gP+uE9c7Cq2Rp3AWaPYH4HJeaECh6i2suRPVndkoZFz+r3UrlHaw==|tkp:Bk9SR6aBxvSJaA

Pardon my ignorance for not knowing about the ins and outs of the SF models...but any particular reason for wanting a front cable operated brake light switch? Thanks for your help but as mentioned the af1 has a drum front brake.
Regards,
Tyrone
They would if you fitted a disc brake front end..
Hi mate, yes I know about that but seeing as there is one I would like it to work. Thats it really.Pardon my ignorance for not knowing about the ins and outs of the SF models...but any particular reason for wanting a front cable operated brake light switch?
The MOT Rules for Motorcycle Brake Lights say:
However, if you're looking to fit one for safety reasons, What you need is a brake cable interlock switch, such as this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391864523251?_skw=brake+cable+interlock+switch&itmmeta=01M17PFD6ZXYF3XNMXQXZPQBE9&hash=item5b3cf219f3:g:kLwAAOSwuwNZkwet&itmprp=enc:AQALAAAA4GfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xBAl9sN+n4yQEh2vsfbvADdSBmkx9nayRUSa0zkfeqHerZGUoT8f3tnPE5zKdcDHDtnkGuMysWa/MkexrkxyxbdKcUjKkea34vNDkNcR/dpBaVMA3Zo4xUTOa1gZJEyo3IwhPt7N+bQJqIVG3rFdeoI4ISgsi+r0A2EnYLjn+FQhZkb1U+027OlJT/O92Flp2qcZiizobV6dm46XZE1h3iIXXISqBIHrJjDufGtXRF5cMyYVNVPbksK0t1omZCJ0nrQdZaBQSndJh7HaXfvJj2V|tkp:Bk9SR-DTvfaJaA
Registered on or after 1 April 1986: The stop lamp must light up when you use either the front or the rear brake control. [1]
- Registered before 1 April 1986: These older bikes generally only need one working brake light switch (usually operated by the rear brake), unless they were specifically manufactured with front and rear switches from the factory. [1]
- Exemptions: Motorcycles with an engine capacity under 50cc and first used before 1 April 1986, or historic bikes made before 1 January 1936, have different lighting exemptions.
Another alternative is to enquire with Venhill and see if they can make you a custom cable with interlock switch?
Have you tried Andy Wagner ?Hi, best place to source a brake light switch for the front on my sf1 please. Thanks in advance.
