SF1 brake light switch (front).

Sadly, neither of these are going to work well on a cable operated brake.

Thanks for your help but as mentioned the af1 has a drum front brake.

Pardon my ignorance for not knowing about the ins and outs of the SF models...but any particular reason for wanting a front cable operated brake light switch?

The MOT Rules for Motorcycle Brake Lights say:

  • Registered on or after 1 April 1986: The stop lamp must light up when you use either the front or the rear brake control. [1]
    • Registered before 1 April 1986: These older bikes generally only need one working brake light switch (usually operated by the rear brake), unless they were specifically manufactured with front and rear switches from the factory. [1]
    • Exemptions: Motorcycles with an engine capacity under 50cc and first used before 1 April 1986, or historic bikes made before 1 January 1936, have different lighting exemptions.
However, if you're looking to fit one for safety reasons, What you need is a brake cable interlock switch, such as this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/39186452...CJ0nrQdZaBQSndJh7HaXfvJj2V|tkp:Bk9SR-DTvfaJaA

Another alternative is to enquire with Venhill and see if they can make you a custom cable with interlock switch?
