Given the cleanliness of the back I can believe it is NOS.  Even ?250 (not ?199) would be a good price for sure .  ... but when you put a starting bid and no resreve then that IS the starting bid and you have to be prepared to let it go for that.

BTW the white oil temp gauge was also used on ducati 900ss Superlight and 851 models so some  Duc specialists still have them in stock.  I recently got one from Netherlands for 70Euro  (which is cheaper than One I bought from Slaters back i n the day!!)

I have two of the white oil temp gauges with the Laverda logo but both have a slight sepia tint, there must have been something wrong with their printing process.

the "Sepia" color comes from damping oil having been sucked up from the front face. That does not mean they are damaged, they all look that way after a while (tribute to the vibrations I would say...). However, Maximilian Mahlmeister in Germany can exchange the faces if you prefer them to bright white.

If you're interested in this part complete assembly, then I'd be happy to sell!  Looks like NOS - been on my shelf for 5 years so needs a good home!
Some paint is missing from the speedo rim edge - just about visible in the photo between the 60-95km/h segment.  Probably happened during storage. Easy enough to rectify with a satin black rattle can.
