1200 TS versus 1200 TS Mirage? What is different?

What is the difference between a 1200TS and a 1200TS Mirage? They appear to be the same thing. I see some with Mirage badges on the side covers and some without?

My 1981 series 2 is a 1200TS Mirage but it looks identical to ones without the Mirage badges.

Only the UK (Slater) Mirage came with 4C cams (and the Jota Exhaust), other than that and the paint job it was the same as the 1200TS (flat top 8:1 Mondial pistons etc) I expect later ones simply adopted the Mirage name after Slaters gave up on the Series 1 1200 models in the UK
 
That's what I thought Andy,
Slaters created the mirage out of the 1200 when first released. And painted it that fantastic green. As with the jota the factory ran with mirage after uglasizing it with the hidious TS. (Imho, no offence to TS owners)
The original 1200 was a handsome bike.

I think the differences between the 1200TS and 1200TS Mirage were merely an advertising effort on a poor selling 1200TS, trying to build on the earlier Slater Mirage reputation. I had asked Richard Slater about this not long ago and he said the UK TS Mirages came with adjustable bars and rear sets. These old photos show the two models, other than the badges and differences to side panel pin stripes, I don’t see any other changes. The TS Mirage had A11 cams and flat top Mondial pistons so it was a bit of a sheep in wolf’s clothes.

My TS came with the rearsets and adjustable bars, also Jota cans, but without the fairing and lower engine guards. brought in the UK.
Fantastic motor and I put on 170000 kays before I rebuilt it. It only stayed a TS for a year before I beautified it with a Motodd frame.
