So I've now done 650 miles on my restoration and riding it is just getting better all the time....changed over from SAE30 running in oil to Morris V twin race 20 50 at 500 miles and retorqued the head with helpful advice from Keith Nairn.

I had an annoying resonance on the bike which varied with engine load which turned out the left hand side of the lower fuel tank seam was touching the top left edge on the RS carbs. Sorted now by adding some more lift at the back. I've fitted a charge warning light made by Graham Blighe at Improving Classic Motorcycles. He's a great guy and did a special version for my bike running DMC 32 ignition and the FH027AB RR. Took the fairing off and fitted genuine Brembo master cylinder mirror holder clamps only £11.27 each! from Bike Torque racing.1000010707.jpg

Been over it checking bolts tightness, all good and heading out tomorrow on a 220 mile run which will take me through the Great Glen and onto the road to Skye finishing up at Glen Shiel and Shiel Bridge... Pat @pf1 said they're an acquired taste, after getting used to the vibes and full blooded character I'm getting to love it 🤠👍

Once they are in your blood you've had it though ha ha! Didn't you like the fairing? I think they look better without all the plastic parts myself.
