I disagree and, what's more, if Slater Bros. had agreed with you, Shaun, there would have been no 'Jotas'!
Laverda would, consequently, have registered on the minds of motorcyclists and the public at about the same level as Motobi.

Fine, but I think they sound good as is ,what appeals to me with the 3Cs are they are understated, lower,classic lines, of course Hamish you are very welcome to disagree and change your cams and pistons too,

My 3c was manufactured in July 1974. Number 2057. The USA import rules required the month and year of manufacturer be clearly labeled on the head-stock.

Registration for road use is different here. My 3c was not registered with a licence plate till 1975.

One can only conclude that, either
- 3Cs were not made with consecutive numbers
-the American importer was cheating
-the American administration was corrupt.

Probably a combination of the above.

My 2098 was registered in France in August 1974. They didn't send and register bikes by internet at the time.

A non issue indeed. My 2098 was registered in France in August 1974. My 2057 was manufactured in July 41 motorcycles earlier.

About right considering August is a holiday month and we dont know what day or week in July or August?

My 3C #1598 has a Jan 74 tag on it, this one for sale is possibly the first one in the USA according to the Laverda registry, #2 if you count #1001
