1974 1000 3C tachometer

As i understand it, many of the modern era ridden Laverda have electronic rev limiters included on board. What matter the tacho redline, its overridden in many cases by the ignition. Just may well be, a "talking" point, perhaps, maybe, almost.... "my redline is bigger than your redline..." now boys... stop that... says your mother... or would have said.... besides from my experiences the tacho is an indicator, not a scientific device for measuring instantaneous crank shaft velocity.... j.

Never hit a rev limiter, except on a dino and that scared me to death. Bloody hell, who knew they revved that hard.

Yes Vince the noise is what we seek, at the other end of the rev delights is the off beat idle you can achieve for the series 1 motors, intoxicating, not the fumes, the lumpy idle, the bored 1200 i did had that in spades. Not all rev limiters are the same, actually quite tricky to get right, one feature i did not want in the iis was all rev limiter then all of a sudden no rev limiter ie wimpy HP to back on again full HP at around the 8Krpm, not what you want cranked over in a sweeping road or tight road condition. Programed in a fit for purpose code section that was well able to have a controlled recovery, engine and rider alike. j

If it sold then it is you that is wrong.
Nope, I wouldn't buy it.
With all that market rules stuff, you even see people buying complete wrecks for a lot of money, convinced that they're right. The world needs crooks and idiots.
Only the banker is right in the end.
And I'm quite happy with my garage and the thousands of Laverda miles I cover, leaving wrecks and overdrafts to others, very pleased being wrong.
