2000 Zane 750S looks nice, but last running in 2008 sounds a bit suspect...

I guess it could have been in a collection - at least the last bikes have most of the improvements but can still have been thrashed and the crank needs attention ! Running it would confirm ?

Not a Laverda, but quite interesting just the same. The prototype 1968 CB750 pre/production bike which was sent to all dealers in the USA to garner interest and dealer orders. Lot S155, which puts it kinda 1/2 way thru Saturday Jan31 Las Vegas time, which I think is Mtn Standard Time.

The mind boggles at the amount of dealers that creamed their jeans on seeing, the long awaited Honda monster, for the first time.
No computer pictures, no emails just an envelope of brochures to get them interested and then on seeing the real thing ….. cor blimey, wank wank wank!

Not a Formula as per description although it has Formula forks - missing pipes - polished frame - Formula paint - some hp
Sold @ $66k...and on a Thursday! Same bike was a 'no sale' @ Mecum January '25 @ $35k. Looks like classic motorcycle values may not be in the toilet!

Noice! I'm heading up there tomorrow with my son. It's cheap fun as long as I don't bid on anything. Room at the Luxor is $75, tix to Mecum $30 ea. Should be fun. I checked around and don't have $66K anywhere haha.

750 SFC 'Electronica' in 2025 was Bid up to $35k and did not meet its reserve; this year, buyers/bidders realized its true worth, 'Rivett counters' be damned. The buyer, a former SFC racer, plans to put it to use on the race track.

Lucky day for me on the SFC Electra today, another bidder was hot to get this bike but it was a deeper pockets situation.
Mecum saw low bids today, Harleys sell for 3-6 K, Honda CB350's $30,000. So I knew this SFC was going to be the most expensive auction of the day and my cap was $65,000. Thanks Jota Dave for offering to ride it home to California for me, Lucky I have my trailer. The bike will get a complete front to rear Before it sees the Track in April at Willow Springs California OMRRA track weekend. Also Santa Anita bike show in March then Quail Conquers show in May. I Have a ton of plans that would make Laverda proud that One of their past racers are representing again.
