1975 SFC @ Mecum Vegas

Saw a pristine HT Kingswood Station Waggon under the Harbour Bridge on Australia Day while waiting for the F35 handing display. It must be the only one that didnt rust to death. It was so good it must have been done on a rotisserie.

These prices have something to do with the “hippie” factory/local dealer custom paint scheme that these models had as a sort of local option. The bikes themselves are standard $3-5K Hondas.

In 1975 it was auctioned with a wiring that needed to be sorted. That clearly discouraged the buyers. I made a new wiring loom for it so that previous owner Bruce could finish the SFC.

The ‘84 RGS bid up to $11,000US before to stalled out,,,didn’t get to reserve. It seemed to be in nice shape!!

Never did see the Laverda 688 whether it sold or not???
 
My son and I decided to wing it and drove (4 hours each way) to the show. We had a great time looking at all the bikes, and going to Hoover Dam, plus a couple of other side trips. Glorious winter desert weather. I only saw one Laverda, an RGS on display in the entry area. There were many Matchless and AJS, it seemed like there were more of those than Triumph-Norton-BSA.

I saw a 1911 HD 'Silent Gray Fellow' and my son posed for a picture - the same model his great-grandfather is pictured on below, 111 years ago.

This one sold for $187k, more than a few Ducati bikes sold at 'bargain' prices.1769982260541.png
1978 Darhma $7700
1977 900 SS $14K only 1600miles
1986 MHR 1000 $14K, only 2100miles and an 83 sold for $11K
1978 900 GTS $6600 8500miles
More than a half dozen singles of various models sold for less than $4k each, all of these bikes were absolute bargains when compared to the 1973 Honda CB 350 G with the factory 'Flying Dragon' paint job ??? $49.5K the same year, Scrambler model with the same factory paint job sold for $44K, expensive paint jobs.
The 1968 Honda factory CB 750 prototype was snatched up at $313.5K,
A clean original 69 CB 750, there were many $12K to $37k

The 2000 Laverda 750S Formula with 6500 km sold for $3300

I believe the individual/dealer representing the RGS had it up for sale in the $17K-ish range prior to the auction if that is the bike I'm thinking of.

Any idea what the SFC sold for?

SFC750 Electronica went for $66,000 US. It was a very nice machine, and being an SFC , very special!
 
Looks like 1973 Honda 350 K to me.
$49.5K just because it has different paint job?
If it had a Cappellini upgraded engine I could understand fetching more money.
