I had two SFC1000. The first one brand new. The primary drive sprocket worked loose and chewed up the end of the crankshaft in a few hundred miles. The second one threw a rod....
I still regret not having bought a Corsa instead when I bought the first SFC1000.
However, I still think it could be made into nice reliable bike, and I think Neal’s price is very reasonable so I am surprised it hasn’t found a buyer yet.
And I buy and sell Laverdas at what I think is a fair price, and that will encourage people to buy and use them.
For example, the three RGS I bought for approx £15k in total is also what I sold them for although I know I could have perhaps got more.
The same goes for the 3CL/Jota and MK2 Jota I sold last year.
So the bottom line, when you pitch your price, is do you want to sell or not?
