Updated 11-1-2021- FOR SALE 3CE 1975, purchased from Slaters in August 2001, UK registered historic vehicle, visited many ILOC rally?s and to Breganze 60th Anniversary. Owned by ex editor and secretary of ILOC. In LVV a few times and winner of some rosetttes but not a show bike. Currently needs running in after mid 2020 Ged @ GCS organised rebore, Ross pistons+rings and new cam blocks, cam chain + tensioner blade. In late 2020 the head went to Keith Nairn for renovation. New valves, seats, guides and seals sorted (not removed), new valve springs. Ged putting head back on engine in complete state as received from Keith. Still at GCS @Jan 2021. Before this engine work I added a complete new Redax Ignitech ignition system with 3 phase charging system and Nology coils. 
I could deliver by arrangement. Some spares and manuals including green book and original handbook available. Contact Matt 07762900049

Thanks for replying. As Paul says there aren't many 3CE's out there. I am hoping for a good price of course- ?15,000. feels right...your feed back would be useful...

It's a buyers market at the moment.
?15k seems a little top endy but with 3Cs going for 5 figures who knows.
Certainly all the upgrade work has been done, any certification of it being a 3CE?

Thanks for your comment. I am not sure if I have a certificate but there's 3CE stamped on frame. I can take a photo and I'll look through paperwork. I'll put here if I find some more concrete evidence.

Sight across the fork stanchions and steering head on the frame. Standard 3C ones are angled back, i.e. closer at the bottom than the top, SFC ones are parallel, it is easy to see. See all the discussion on the 3CE/Jota posts regarding this.

Maybe a word with Richard Slater for definitive proof?
Such provenance really helps the price and the sale.

In the 1975 model year the 3C(E) was also introduced. This was the standard production 3C 1000/1, re-done by Roger Slater with the 759SFC fork yokes, higher compression pistons, wider?profile cams and a Slater-designed, less restrictive exhaust system featuring a larger diameter collector box and virtually opened unbaffled silencers. In many ways, the 3C(E) was the forerunner of the legendary Jota.
The 3C(E) was a stop gap machine which had begun life as a UK special in 1975, with high-compression 10:1 pistons (against 9:1 for the standard 3C), a higher lift 4C camshaft (against an A11 for the stock bike), beefier fork yokes and less restrictive exhausts that allowed the engine to breath more easily.


 
I?d move it from the long grass before the discs rust any more and it gets stuck and in a few years time it becomes a genuine ?garden? find..... :LOL: :LOL:
