Hi TedJust purchased this from BAT and looking forward to caring for this beauty- ownership tips are welcome, thanksView attachment 86363
Mine probably has around 160 000 km on standard pistons and bores. I've done near 130 000 of those.Hi Ted
I have a sf2 as well. Fantastic bikes to ride and the finish is excellent. Good spares supply but can be pricey. Get the green book if you can it's very good
Cheers Neil
You can see all the Laverda action at BAT with that site's search facilityCan we ask what you paid? There's an ongoing international debate among members about rising-falling prices!

Your SF2 engine is the same as your SFC was basically. Thanks all for the helpful and encouraging replies. I owned a 750SFC many years ago and have wanted another Laverda ever since. According to the seller, the bike has been previously restored which included bearings on the bottom end. The metal flake is repainted and I may paint it Laverda orange. I will get the factory manual and go over the entire bike this winter and address what's needed. I know Laverda motors are robustely designed and require frequent oil changes- the bike has points which I would like to change to electric if it's not too big of a job. I currently own a Aprilia Tuono and mechanically adept except for involved engine work. I recall my SFC had a 2-part cam shaft bolted together w/ a center timing gear and don't remember if it had an oil filter or simply just a strainer.

You are wrong, Jo!As far as they were built it should be important, that the standard SF 750’s had never been delivered in that color.
Good gracious! But I tell you something: This happens from time to time ...You are wrong, Jo!
Ciao, Gert
I like the close to the Orange take, that Copper colour suits it well. I went more red but heading orange with mine.Hi all
