Another tyre thread. Great.
I just put new tyres on my 750s, now it's running properly at last.
I wanted narrow, by modern standards, tyres. 100/90/18 front and 110/90/18 rear. Also, I didn't want something that looked like a cut slick.
Well, the choice wasn't easy because there' aren't many tyres out there that fit the description. I ended up with a set of Metzeler Roadtec 01 which seem to fit the bill quite nicely. I still need to try them but they'll be fine for the use the bike will be seeing.
I have a set of Metzeler Lasertec on my much used SF2, 100/90 on the front and 120/90 on the rear. I love them. Much easier than the Dunlop 501s I used for years.
When time comes to change those, the 120 has been discontinued.
It seems choice is pretty limited on classic looking skinny tyres.
