750SF clutch adjustment

Nothing wrong with that - that way I made my extended lever (repurposed the old rear brake cable actuating lever from the redundant foot pedal). I made mine shorter than yours - my alloy cable perch sits JUST above the surface of the housing. I also used a Kawasaki Z clutch lever and perch at the bars and had no trouble finding neutral.
 
we all did that back in the day, until someone bought the mega dear SFC component, then various people started making them because of the cost, and they still do, I converted mine to hydraulic.
