Sorry some pages are upside down - my PDF prog won't play ball.

Not Tracy this time but Diane Willoughby, clearly admiring a Mk4 Mottod, belonging to a Charles Roch back in the day.
Chris will be interested to know the G-String is made of chamois leather, he likes that kinda detail... :)

I don't like it either, much prefer Naked Ladies with very big guns. Little joke, I don't mind seeing them next to anything, me included. Different times these days, for better or worse. I have been watching that doco on Foxtel about Playboy, really interesting story and again a product of its time and something to learn from.

Yeah, I know. Makes me sound like a wet fish, but I never found the 'look' all that sexy. Loved having (er, taking, er, pillioning) pretty girls on the back of my bike tho.

Bikinis and M60s eh, Vince?!

Tracy's been following haunting me ever since that poster was first published. It was on display in the Moto Witt workshop, now at OCT, it seems EVERY Laverda owner has one hanging in the shed! Mine's still rolled up in the poster container...

Never quite got the concept of promos or 'bike portraits' with semi-clad sheilas and big motos.
I know what you mean Q. Back when it was normal marketing ploy to drape semi naked women over everything, it always seemed a bit inappropriate to me. I like a pretty girl as much as the next bloke, but to pose a girl in a bikini (or less) with a chainsaw or jackhammer is just dumb. and it's not even good advertising. No tradesman would choose a brand of power tool because he saw a picture of naked girl pretending to use it.

The tradesman pins the photo in his van/workshop and sees it every day.
The marque becomes imprinted in his neurones and he's more likely to buy it. Works well.

Hi Vince,

At the risk of getting shot down here, I have no issue with naked bodies selling!!! Hugh Hefner understood “sex sells all” or at least the illusion of it - what I do have issue with is “political correctness” and how sanitised the world has become as a result.

Thanks Nadia, I thought I was the only person left in this world that hasn’t conformed to the PCness we have to endure these days.

I got verbally slammed last week because I called an Indian bloke a towel-head. Frankly, the guy had a towel wrapped around his head.

If I really wanted to offend, I could have called him a black guy with a towel on his head…. I’m fucked if I know where it will end.

Some years back i had a couple of guys come to me to make copies of the one-off Mini-Harris frame made for the midsize jap fours - the 550's.
The only pics they could come up with were the Crossbow calendar shots.
It simply was not possible to see enough detail or get useful scale measurements from those pics. Just a tease.
