I am a poor man!  I've seen those fuse units- could do with one for the GS too- it's much the same at the battery.  Will look at fitting something along those lines, or maybe just a simple fuse board with a relay from a switched circuit to power any extra circuits.  Will deffo need one for the GPS.  Happy days in the garage this winter. :D

You could always nip along to your local scrappy and take the battery fusebox off some exotica like a Skoda Fabia.
Most modernish cars have lots of battery mounted fused supply circuits for all the crap they build into them.
Even after market ones are dirt cheap.

My current Focus loaner has a ring of nervous proximity sensors and forward facing radar, auto-park and even colour selectable
footwell lights. All this rubbish has to get its power from somewhere.

Reggie whilst you haven't changed any of the globes recently the overcharging may have lets say burnt one of the globes so the impedance might have changed.  You can check with a mulitmeter to see if any are different to tothers.
Swap the globes left to right one at a time and see if your flashing faster changes then you will be able to work out which globe or you

Sonicboom that Focus would have a CAN BUS network .............the fuse box would have along with fuses of various sizes, relays, a few busses and a circuit board incorporated into it it,  they are more than just a fuse box these days.

Aye, summats up.  Good suggestion to swap bulbs before springing for a new flasher unit.

Just the battery mounted fused power distribution box before it gets anywhere near the clever/stupid bits.
