Still 1981 ....... Introducing the Laverda Jota S 120 ( obviously the S didn`t last long ) , and the promise of the long awaited turbocharged 500 twin ........
Interesting that five year importers contract between Piero and Slater Bros ended up not being a five years contract after all .......

IOM residents John and Hilary Musson, 23rd & 25th respectively. Unfortunately, Hilary passed away earlier this month. After giving up racing she took up marshalling. She was unlucky to be in the wrong place, when marshalling the TT in 2007 at the 26th milestone, and got caught up in the Marc Ramsbotham fatal crash. She was hit by bits from his disintegrating bike and lost the lower part of a leg. I hadn’t seen her for awhile, she was concerned about catching covid so had kept away from a lot of events.
RIP Hilary.

And talking about Zundapps ....... Here`s a few pics of my Rickman R125SD , Zundapp powered ....... Was actually after a Dalesman Scout , but Westbury Motorcycles in Bristol had these so ........ 18 bhp from these , there was a Moto-X version which made 23 bhp ...... They were used , alongside Triumph TR5T`s by the British Trophy team when the ISDT was held in the `States , in 1973 I think ........ Quite a few were sold over there on the back of that , via BSA / Triumph dealerships ......

Pics show catalogue shot ; mine on a track near Pucklechurch ; halfway up the old road from Tadwick to Langridge near Lansdown near Bath ; and on the Fosse Way near Grittleton Wiltshire , after riding over a fallen tree , victim of the 1974 gales .......2023-03-22.png2023-03-22 (3).png2023-03-22 (4).png2023-03-22 (2).png
