BEARS Australia 2023

Thinking of making a day trip to Mac Park to see the Redax bikes in action.
Don't know which day yet.
Any body interested from S A ?

Reckon I could do the day trip again Ian (by car).
Was wondering why "The Bend" at Tailem Bend wasn't included as a round but speaking to somebody connected with outfit racing said that the owners of the complex charge like wounded bulls.

couple of reasons in relation to The Bend, each meeting we go to we have practice on Friday, Qualifying Saturday morning, one or two races Saturday afternoon and final two races on Sunday
Except Darwin where we can have the track from Monday right through to Sunday afternoon, great place to test and race

The Bend apart from being very expensive would only give us a Sunday and if we wanted Saturday it would only be a track day open to anyone with a motorcycle
So makes no sense for BEAR's to race there, is a shame though looks like a great track

2023 will most likely be the last time we do the full series of national rounds, getting too expensive and need to work towards clearing my workshop of customer bikes/engines and the race bikes take up a lot of my time
Picked up race fuel this morning, it has gone from $8.30/liter that I paid last year to $13.15/liter now, and my bikes suck fuel
Race tyres price wise are now around 30% more expensive, Diesel for the Race van is going to be 25% dearer, accommodation is up, everything is more expensive
Have to retire them one day

It's a pity, The Bend is owned by the same mob that own most of the servos here in SA (saw one in Hamilton on the way to CurdieVale).
They are known for being the first to put their pump prices up and the last to drop them. Enough said!

Not any more OTR has been sold to Viva Energy for ,,,,, $1.15 Billion. Subject to regulatory approvals from the ACCC.

Wet through to 1pm, too wet for slicks, too dry for wets so stayed in the pits
2 sessions in the afternoon, ran 1.7 secs off of our lap record
New tyres on after meeting closed, ready for qualifying

Good showers a truck driver facilities though😉

waiting for Larkin Poe to come on stage.
Half your Larkin Fuck! We rarely get any decent performers coming to Tassie. Must be too far off the beaten track for most of 'em.

Go the Redax team, although it seems they don't need my encouragement to beat the opposition. They're doing that pretty convincingly already.
