Brake caliper grease (internal)

Can anyone recommend a brand/type of grease to use on caliper pistons and seals? I got some small sachets of Bendix stuff from Supacheapo but it seems to be predominantly for external application - pins and back of pads kinda stuff. I haver some Brembo red grease but it's very thick. Have googled Repco and others but nothing seems to specify 'internal' or brake fluid compatible. I would assume anything with silicone in it is not compatible with Dot 4 brake fluid. Or can I simply use brake fluid as the assembly lube?

Decided I have to rebuild the R1 calipers on the Q, as they came from a wreck via the US and could be 15 years old. They were binding on the rotors after lever release. Absurd to leave something like that off the attention list on a project of the magnitude of this!! Internally they are spotless, not a trace of black 'silt' and the seals are very elastic, so hoping new seals and a complete refurb will sort it.

All I know is that Bembro kits used to have those small satchels of Red Grease just as you said, and I thought it went SPARINGLY on the seals and pistons to reduce friction and corrosion. The latter not so much since they don't do steel pistons thankfully, bastard things to get out when they rust.

Thanks Marty. I'll look it up and see where I can score some. Just discovered I made the classic mistake with my seal kit - pic showed 8 seals = 2 x 4-spots? No! 1 x 4-spot and DUST seals in pic!! Another load coming airmail from the UK. At least I managed to get all the pistons out without the special Pro-Motion tool I've been waiting for for 10 weeks. Used a bicycle floor pump to get the pistons most of the way out, then fingers for ages (ouch!) to pull most of them out. Last one I used wooden half moons to protect the piston and a small clamp across the wood flats and easy peasy out it came. I HATE brake fluid.

Should be in 'What Did You Do for or with Your Laverda Today?'

Penrite do a good rubber grease. Smallest i could get here was a container about 100mm OD X 65mm deep.
Judging by previous purchases this will do me for rest of life.
Once upon a time PBR did small tubes of the stuff.

PBR were great. Remember that tube well. Lee (Tippie) reminded me that he still has a tube from about 45 years ago! It's not like a caliper or wheel cylinder is exactly in need of a bucketful of the stuff. Someone on a forum mentioned dielectric grease for seals internally - any ideas on that anyone? I have a nice tidy little tube of that.
