Here it is....Below are the factory tools for the job of extracting the RH cam and the rocker spindles. LH cam is knocked out from the opposite side with a (soft) metal bar. Very early RH cams did not have the provision for a puller attachment, factory manuals show a large screwdriver being used against the side of a cam lobe to bash out the shaft...

Being careful goes without saying (common sense) with any mechanical work, but common sense is not permitted in todays world of safety regulations.
It should also be a simple task to melt the cam out of the head. Aluminium melts at a lower temperature than steel?

Things like this raise the impression any old hillbilly with a hammer and monkey wrench can repair these bikes. Some possibly could, most fail miserably...
