Nothing to do with anything really , but ...........

Whenever I log on , I might take a quick look at the Forum page and see who`s online .......... obviously the usual Forum members , which may range from two or three to maybe twenty or thirty ....... and the guests , which on a good day may range from a couple of hundred to four or five hundred , which seems a fair old number to me ........

However , when I logged on just now , I saw the guest count stood at 2,068 !! ....... Yes , two thousand and bloody sixty eight ........ o_O .............

Can any one vouch for the accuracy of these figures ....... or is this sudden influx down to World Cup refugees , looking for a change of scene ?


Just had another look , and it`s now down to 129 guests in the space of just a minute or so ........ those one thousand nine hundred and thirty nine didn`t hang around very long ......... maybe they saw that I had just logged on .............. :unsure: ................

I'm a member of another unrelated forum. They had to change security measures for this reason. Might be wrong but I think they are being charge per access.

Who says interest in Laverda is dead ?

Still not sure about the validity of these figures ....... they seem to up and down at the drop of a hat ........... It`ll be back to 174 in a minute ........

Remember the Soviet era photos where people go missing?
We've been looking at photos and videos in the press all of our lives. Including fake propaganda.
Nothing new. Living in the world requires a discerning judgement.

What has changed but we're all using that and have been for decades is the speed with which things travel via the internet.

Nothing new with AI.

I didn't look in the daily blah for technical information though and that is what I don't trust. The rest is just propaganda anyway. The other week AI told me female doves 'usually' lay the eggs. It's infected twaddle peddled as knowledge.

My issue is concealed bias, hidden thumbs being applied to adjust results deliberately. For a while, Google it actaly had a meaning to me. Everything now is manipulated to skew results in whole populations, and it won't end. How else can you explain recent complete flips of long-standing norms?
 

AI can be fun ( Pt 3 ) ........

The worrying thing is , if selected parts of a clip like this was played on the Nine o`Clack News ........ or maybe a slightly less over the top version of it ...... then then are some out there who would probably think it was for real ...........

I`m waiting for an AI version of BBC TV`s Question Time .......... or has the BBC transmitted it already ?

Indeed, but those photos required the skilled hand of a real living breathing human being. When I was a kid, a few doors up from me lived a lady who 'touched in' photos for a living. Her health wasn't good, MS I think, but she could work from home as she was in a wheelchair. Her job would have disappeared with the advent of PC programs like Photoshop, but at least people still operated them. Now you can ask software to compose an image out of zeros and ones with no human input, at all..
