Cars and bikes I’ve come across in my travels

Ernesto I had one of those when I was 17 . Same model ,same colour but it looks like that one has shaft drive fitted or is it just the angle of the shot ?
The infamous "Becker Fettkasten", Becker grease-filled chain case. All the rage in Germany at a time when chain technology was sadly lacking. Worked OK on smaller not-so-fast bikes, bikes ridden at high speeds often literally baked their chain, lots of heat developed inside. A royal pita cleaning those out to replace the knackered chain!

BTW, Laverda offered a very similar set-up for the cast wheel triples and 750 twins along with a version for the 500, turned out not too popular...

O-ring chains soon proved to be a better alternative.

🙄 My street cred is being tarnished, there I was thinking it was a shaftie. Okay, I might be able to redeem myself by saying
‘It’s definitely a shaftie…. don’t take me seriously, I’m just joking’

Yes, but not grease-filled. Just to keep dust and dirt away from the chain. And, as a bonus, keeping the wheel clean.
Wasn*t there also a version for Chotts?

With added louvres on front guards/fenders/wings for added performance. I did one like this but in light blue metallic. Installed a tri-matic out of a HQ. Great body style. A better take on Chevrolet's Nova.
