Cavis Benz 7 x 12 fuel line.

Some interesting reply's there chaps and I thank you for them.
Just for your interest I do not believe that any bike should be left standard. The new fuel line I bought will do the job perfectly and maybe I was just being a bit anal in trying to get original fuel line, which is clearly not available any more.

recently produced Cavis hose is not the same as decades ago, I bought some from a Croydon classic Fiat dealer a while ago, and the unused part of my 5 meter drum has changed from green to Blue
see picture, new hose (two years in closed cupboard) is top and decades old offcut, which I think has been in use, bottom. Even though the colour has changed dramatically while in storage, it does remain flexible and pliable, so could be used, just looks totally disgusting.

I bought a lenght of Cavis hose (expensive!) to Bevel Heaven some months ago, it looks close to the original and very different from the one on your picture.

if you enlarge the picture you can see the wording "Cavis B"
does your Bevel heaven stuff have the same wording JL, or different, its always possible that the forgers have made some fuel hose I suppose, I cant see it being worth their while, but you never know

To my suspicious mind Cavis B does not necessarily mean Cavis Benz.
Copyright and all that.
Cavis Benz hose that I fitted had the full Cavis Benz script printed on it.

you could be right Grant, will we ever know? and will I ever care?
bad buy and I am living with it, not sure how to be careful in the future though

I cannot be sure that it is a genuine Cavis-Benz, but it is really very good quality, remains flexible, just changing the colour from light green to green/yellow.
