Even if it was rough as fuck it would, as Cosi says, be worth £5k any day of the week. Given that it’s better than that it’s must be worth more than £8k imho.
 
he is/was a mate, I would like to think that my sons will help out when I am gone, but I just wish Pauls son (Ryan) had contacted me prior, he knows how to find me, but didnt want to create a lumber, Jesus fucking Christ, I get lumbered all the time when I dont want to be, but this time I do, bike should be with me in about a week.

I am setting up my will with a friend as an executor who will solely be responsible for liquidating and allocating a list of my motorcycles. In return one of the bikes goes to him. He is 15 years younger so hopefully I don't outlive him.

It sounds like I may have to get this written up by a lawyer rather than a notary as it may not be as simple as it sounds.

I also hope my sons live much longer than me and know how to sell these bikes until when it's nessesary. Or that my younger one likes them and keeps 'em. Maybe he shouldn't, as when I am gone, the chance OCT is still around or any other dealer that sells parts today and keeps the suckers running, is minimal...

Good on you Clem, for intervening in a desperate situation. Sometimes people need to be reminded that friends are there to help when needed.
I hope you can get a good price for the bike. It actually looks like the kind of bike I'd be interested in. A bit scruffy but will polish up OK.
