Clem - Rest in Peace

I am very sorry to have to pass on the news having had a call from Clem's son David in the last hour , that Clem suffered a fatal accident at home on Friday. Frankly I am in something of a state of shock on hearing this. And know that many of you will be too on reading this. Our thoughts are with Clem's family, especially his sons Tom and David. Clem had been busy organizing a Christmas dinner for Laverda club couples and this will still be going ahead in 2 weeks. Arrangements for the funeral have yet to be finalized, but I think we can safely say that Clem was a Laverda legend and his send off will be quite an event. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved late wife Andrea in the local church. If you have any queries about this. I can relay to the family and my e mail is njdavies@rocketmail.com
RIP Clem.

I had known Clem for 50 years, one of my oldest friends. He always supported my business and helped my wife Nonita
with imigration matters a few times. I am completely shocked to learn of his sad passing. I was only speaking to him a few days ago, and commented how well he looked and sounded after a couple of years of illnesses.... So sad, I will miss Clem, and especially the great
banter and superb arguments we had.....all in jest of corse....Rest in peace my friend....

Dreadful news Nick.

Xmas dinner was described as being a Laverda Ladies Night to me when Clem invited me...

Baskerville Hall 1992 would have been the first time I met Clem.

Sad news and condolences to his family ad everyone who knew him. Reading his posts were always an education. Losing such a font of knowledge and a respected member of a community is huge a loss.

What a total shock , very sad to hear this ......... I knew he hadn`t been in the best of health in recent years , but this is so totally unexpected , especially as he had been posting on here just a few days ago .

Never actually met him , but it feels as if I have known him for a long time ........... initially through his appearances in La Vera Vista since I first started receiving that back in 1986 , and of course through his contributions to this forum .

Condolences to his family , and indeed all those who knew and were close to him .

What bloody awful news. Clem helped me with the registration of both of my Laverdas, and answered my incessant stream of Laverda questions and queries with never ending enthusiasm. It's his 'easy clutch' set-up that is fitted to my 750 GT, which delivered a clutch as light as a feather to Willersey, the Classic TT and Baskerville this year. Thank you for all your help, and my sincere condolences.
