Club Laverda NSW Dalgety Pub weekend, February 25-26, 2023.

Great weekend! I took the Corsa, or what I thought was the Corsa. It seemed slower than normal, also less comfortable, but curiously light and flickable for such a big bike. Definitely black though, so must have been the Corsa.
Great to catch up with everyone and enjoy one of the best little country pubs you'll find anywhere. Some gearbox investigation was followed by many beers and one of their typically brilliant meals. More gasbagging and the odd rant. Also some late night phone box testing and bridge appreciation - check out the Dalgety bridge, it is truly impressive!
Craig and I departed late and just went home via Cooma again, it was very windy but after a recharge with a good coffee and a brekkie roll we charged on and made it home without incident. The Corsa started first kick every time on day two, even when hot. Wait a minute... eh?

Talbingo, one of my favourite roads, didn't see the whoopido you referred to Vince, must have been off the fast line.

I didnt like the speckled blotchy road colour either, once I hit that bump every colour change or ripple had my full attention.

Thanks for that TC. You can see the pain on my face even through the alcohol haze. Great little bike and it didn't miss a beat.

How many ks on the front tyre Vince? Would be good to see a picture for reference

Good question I don't know how many ks are on the Bridgestone T32 front. I started logging this 16 months ago as I never knew and keep seeing people say X with certainty. I just went back on my calendars and noted I fitted a rear T32 Bridgestone on 10/10/21 and it's very close to done and has 9197ks in 16 months on it so I am bloody happy with that kind of ks. They may not have Super Sports grip but I have no complaints wet or dry. So I will keep logging this on the 3c and Atlas. I really doubt that front has done the same or more but I cannot remember when it went on but unless you write it down it's not an experiment its a guess, I wish I could be certain but 9000ks out of a front tyre, Naa really Naa.

I was thinking about why I liked this particular ride so much. The answer is that I can go back 20 years and use the riding style I used to use back then. Usually closer to Sydney you can never accelerate hard out of corners, if you do it takes no time to blow past lose your licence speed and there are cops everywhere up there. It's so refreshing to just open the taps to the max for a change and not be shitting yourself. Add in plenty of open, not blind corners and away you go. Great fun ride. Pluses and minuses of being so far from the city.
