Clutch Laverda 1000 3C won't disengage

Not a 3C but a 3CL but the photos may help.

Even very thick heavy steel plates can stick together when oiled. I once watched a bloke rebuild my crank and that takes a few bloody thick heavy surface ground steel plates approx 50mm thick and 300ish mm square to be heaved about while the crank gets pressed apart and together. Those plates liked to stick together and take some effort to come apart, there oiled to stop them corroding I guess. It's a very physical bit of work these Laverda Cranks. Risky to pinch a finger as well.

Where it should be, IMHO.
It's where mine's is and, in forty-seven and a half years, I've never had a sticking clutch.
Well, a lot of us have.
Remember people, including myself laying the bike down on it's left after draining the primary?
I was out testing without the DAM kit when I was hit by an errant Renault.
Otherwise, rods and ball measured up okay.

I have ordered the Motul oil Andre G recommended. The manufacturer states that it is perfectly suitable for engines with a wet clutch. Thanks for all of yr advise an keep you posted on how the oiled plates behave next week.

I've used Motul oils for the last 40 years and have never had a sticking clutch problem with them except with.....the 3C.
