Thanks but what do you mean with " magnet on a stick like these below" ?can easily be the case (not only missing, it can melt when you hold clutch at traffic lights for to long or when decellerating, when on a dynojet to test power etc. etc. etc - happened to me several times... can also be the square on the other side sitting inside the clutch is "drilled" by the other rod, so that the rod sits deeper inside the square metal
Best way to find out is to take the rod out, take magnet on a stick like these below and pull out the rest. This way, you do not have to take the clutch side appart at the first place. check the lengths with Laverda-Paradies webpage and see if they are still long enough. The ball is from a bearing, can be bought separately if missing...
Thanks.sorry - forgott the link...

The magnet of this one is small enough to reach into the mainshaft and "grap" the ball/rod inside the mainshaft and drag it out. You might need to remove the oil-seal sitting in the end of the mainshaft. easy if you do it after you pulled the first rod out.

A professional already has...I do not know why, my memory is not good, but there is a strong indication coming from deep within my own grey matter, that those balls are an imperial size, so be careful, hopefully a professional will see this and add a comment. Not everything, written, posted, online, manuals, or otherwise is accurate, far from it. More than happy to be the one with the duff gen here!

Thank Paul.
Oil seal is 6 x 19 x 7Thank Paul.
Lots of speaking about the O-rings , washers and shims .
I got my bike partly in parts so I am not sure about the order of placeing those.
Is it just to follow thw drawigs
The ball acts as a kind of bearing, separating the clutch drum speed (which is transfered to the inner push rod via the square block inside of the clutch) from the gearbox mainshaft speed. It is a necessary part and should be there.Shall I just get a new ball or shall I go for the long rod ?
Happy birthday - and happy new year too! Thanks everybody. I´ll sure be back consulting your knowledge.
Wish you all a Happy new Year and myself celebrating my 70 years anniversary![]()
