Interesting project Peder, but I'm confused. Is it a replica of the bike that Paul Sharman owned (now Marnix), or was more than one bike produced by CND? It seems a limited run was envisaged, and yours clearly has the modified swingarm fabrication mentioned here

I remember a Green and Yellow bike on the owners own website years ago. What's the story, special frame?

You can try to check this website at wayback-machine. Here are archieved all changes of most websites. You can choose the moment where you want to look at. So you can the things again before they where changed or deleted.
Perfect tool if you need informations from the past.

Interesting project,
I do hope though that you are going to either make or have made a new fuel tank, that welding is asking for trouble on a fuel tank. Find someone who can gas weld ally, then the tank won't crack on the seams.
I also found the CND project very interesting indeed, it seemed like it was made in general to a high standard.
Marnix's comments on vibration etc are very interesting indeed.
Hopefully you can both collaborate and the world will have two lovely looking bikes.
What is the history on this one? is it a copy of the CND from Marnix or is there a "factory" connection?

Jules

Hi Jules.

the story of my CND is, my buddy finds projected on Ebay.com, about 5 years ago, where it shows up Sunday night and he's lucky to buy it. I have helped him make various parts that are missing. He was driving tired in projected and I buy it. Yes it is the No. 2 bike that CND builds, I am so lucky that I have the original shape for the petrol tank, where you can see all the measurements and the comments, fun to have, now I want to build it up in the original condition.

was interested in buying the bike when for sale at the FOTB Mallory a few years ago, I asked lots of questions which left me with zero confidence, e.g. is it a 270, answer yes, is it an SFC head, answer yes, are they eletronica pistons, answer yes (which dont work with 74 SFC normal angle spark plugs) and then just to fully check is it eight valve, answer yes, so I walked away.

er yes but, tell us a bit about the internal spec of the motor then Marnix 270? 74 SFC head?
"I prefer to be On cloud 9!"
I have to say though, what the hell is wrong with cloud's 1 to 8 anyway?

Cloud 9, you tell me, you’re the Brit. 🙂
