Cool Videos

I’m not sure what point the rider was trying to make? Anybody can ’point and squirt’ and the sound of some of the bikes going the other way was far better.
And, the 1200 turbo I rode and (embarrassingly) crashed beats that any day.

Okay ....... not the best representation of Gino Odjick ....... but he just passed away from a form of cancer and all I can say is ..... dammit ..... he played hard and defended his team to the max! I never really liked the team but he was the core of the team from when I watched and I got to see him play live! That man played like his life was on the line and never .... NEVER ..... quit playing!

GINO! GINO! GINO!

Love you man!

Jim

Went to see the Canucks play once. My buddy got us in with some "Club seats" ..... meaning we were behind the bench and they brought drinks to our seats.. The crowd was lame and hardly cheering (It was the Canucks) but we were there for the game. We had a few drinks into us and we were cheering on Gino ..... chanting "GINO! GINO! GINO!" and after a while we did manage to get a few of the people around us lubricated enough that they started cheering as well. I never did find out if we could be heard on the TV broadcast ....... but the rest of the audience was so lame that if there was anything to be heard it was me and Dougie yelling "GINO! GINO! GINO!"
Texted Dougie with the news and he replied "Shitty".
My sentiments exactly!

GINO!

Jim

P.S. I don't care if any of this matters to any of you.

Not so much a cool video as my local news. I was heading into the city on the way to an appointment for an MRI scan yesterday afternoon. Got to the approaches to the Tasman Bridge and traffic was pretty much at a standstill. I turned on the local radio station and heard that a truck had rolled over on the bridge and that the police had stopped all traffic in both directions to allow a crane to get in there. The bridge was closed for several hours while they cleaned up the mess. Truck was carrying (among other things) a load of ceramic tiles, several tons of which had spewed all over the road. They had to get a loader in there to scoop them up.

The bridge is the main link between the eastern side of the Derwent Estuary (where I live) and the western side (where Hobart city is). There is another bridge several KM upstream, but the traffic to get to that was pretty much gridlocked. I had to call and re-schedule my appointment for later in the week. It's normally only a 10-minute drive from my place into the city, but after about an hour stuck in the traffic, I managed to escape the gridlock and find my way back home via a bunch of residential backroads.

Rumour is that the truck driver suffered a heart attack just before the incident. Must have stopped him getting his foot onto the slow-down pedal as he entered the bend of the on-ramp. They had to extract him through the windscreen. He was carted off in an ambulance.

Here's a video of the truck falling over. The Jeep in the adjacent lane narrowly avoided getting squashed. I'm glad there was nobody on a motorcycle behind the Jeep.

We had similar just near The Concervty Of Music a while back, it was a B Double soil transporter and they drive them like Go Carts. In that case, the idiot hit the bend way too fast and rolled blocking The Domain Tunnel and Eastern Distributer and that had the City virtually stop for the day and to top it off didn't have a licence.

Not exactly a cool video , but kind of interesting ........ He`s not entitled to a residential tax abatement .... it`s all so unfair ! ......... ( " on a moral principal I`m entitled to it " ............In the same way he was " entitled " to remain as President ? ) .........he`s obviously a victim of all that corruption going down at City Hall ......... Towards the end he suddenly morphs into the sort of Trump we`re more familiar with today ............. " Why don`t you run for Office ? " asks the lady at the end ........ Be careful of what you wish for ........

Wow! You work fast. I wish I could move my hands that quickly.

Is that final drive sprocket new? I presume it's just an effect of the video resolution, but when it was sitting on the bench, it looked like the teeth were worn down to stubs.

It's not a new sprocket but it is in good condition - video resolution has a habit of removing teeth !!

Seeing my PC is now about six years old , it seems to work better with the mains plugged in all the time when I`m using it , despite warning pop ups saying over charging can damage the battery ........... however , after watching this I immediately un-plugged it .............

I found the e-cigarette fires quite entertaining! They should program more of them to do that ....... those kids sure can breakdance!

Once you get past the ADD bit its pretty interesting hearing Whayne Maxwell municipal Oz Superbike Champ hearing what one of the world's best off-road racers has to say riding a road bike for the first time ever on a GP track.
