From 'boner' to 'corona'?The jab that is,not those blue pills !
I'm far from being well informed on communicable diseases, but from what I've heard and read so far about COVID-19, herd immunity seems very unlikely. I'd be assuming any such claims were from an unreliable source.Just saw a report, positives are down 77% here in the US, only 4.7% of population is vaccinated, scientists believe we are approaching herd immunity
And sadly nearly 60% of those who have died in the UK were amongst those classed as disabled. The more dead there are, the more the infection rate goes down.

One of the results of high life expectancy. It's not fit and healthy people who live longer. What I didn't realise is just how many people in the UK have serious long term illnesses.
Not very likely, sorry.scientists believe we are approaching herd immunity
Report came from John Hopkins research, a very reputable organization , and please don't link my comments with anything to do with TrumpI'm far from being well informed on communicable diseases, but from what I've heard and read so far about COVID-19, herd immunity seems very unlikely. There's a lot of misinformation about COVID that regularly gets regurgitated as fact. Donald Trump inadvertently hit the nail on the head with his malapropism when he referred to herd immunity as "herd mentality".![]()
Would be very interested to see a link to that report. Everything I've read from that organisation aligns with reports here in the UK - i.e. a minimal level of 60-70% of the population being immune to the virus is needed to stop the epidemic from continuing to grow.Report came from John Hopkins research
