Damping problem

does the original poster understand theat the right hand fork slider (if calipers still in front) "floats" on the axle and getting it "settled" into a sweet spot is a little tiresome, but needs to be done! if this is double Nederland to you, then someone will point you in the direction of one of my posts frm a while ago, or I can do it again.
CLEM

Thanks Clem. All bearings, discs etc.. are good and the issue is as you say. I re-did it yesterday, test ride and It appears to be sorted.

Did this just suddenly come to light on your bike, it was OK/good previously?

Before you do anything rash and you already have (changed fork oil viscosity) retorque all your front-end bolts as per sequence, guidelines can be found on this site. Double-check your wheel alignment and I stress double-check your wheel alignment before riding.
Tim, start with the simplest and easiest to fix first, tire pressures.
Set your tire pressures cold and go ride the bike, take a pressure gauge and pump with you change the pressures no more the 2 psi at a time and document your results.
Before you ride and after retorquing all bolts check your disc runout. Listen to Clem about tightening the bolt on the front axle, I chased a similar gremlin for a long long time and it was Clem's knowledge that came to my rescue, and at the time I had been a Laverda owner for more than 40 years. You can teach an old dog new tricks, Clem knows stuff.

Nice one Tim, good result. It’s good to have mates who can point you in the right direction.
And sounds like Clem would have won the pool 😉

That's exactly why my fully annoying Atlas thread was made, there is 3/5th of fuck all knowledge around for these models compared to just about all other Laverdas built and collecting it before it disappears is helpful to the other tiny handful of Atlas owners or at least that's my hope.
