Espresso machines

Correct, touching the bulb with bare fingers. Seen many do that, and wonder why they had to climb up the structure again a few days later......

Wht's the best online sources for Italian coffee beans?

Allpress is a NZ brand that has expanded to Australia, UK and Singapore, they were the benchmark for espresso coffee for good cafes in NZ, so their product is really good. You can get it online here

https://uk.shop.allpressespresso.com/?_ga=2.214141268.2123719716.1588067360-492593011.1588067360

they were basically responsible for making La Marzocco espresso machines famous throughout Australasia, they were pretty much the go to machine in NZ , and if you were on a budget you went with the brand Wega.

Thanks for that, also trying some Lucaffe classic coffee beans, small company from Brescia in Italy ,had very good reviews.

A friend of mine has a company in Milan, roasting bean, they do our beans for us at mates rates and ship them to me, for me that works out cheaper than buying a good middle of the road bean

they normally do a light roast, Im ruined and only like dark roast espresso, each to their own, so they do a dark for me, but try them out , their coffee is really really good

It better be very good at those prices.

I guess , but put it into context , clearly  coffee is an addictive substance.  But
At this price out of 1 kg of coffee, and at 16. Grams per coffee,  it?s still cheaper than the following.
Smoking cigarettes.
Good Scotch or Cognac or any other fine spirit , that people end the day with. Even cheaper than a good glass of wine and cheaper still than buying an espresso in a cafe

Clearly it?s not priced cheaply.  But fairly ? Or responsibly ?  From sustainable sources where the farmers get a fair price ?
I mean imagine if coffee was grown in Europe ?  How much per kg would it be then ? You couldn?t even begin to compare it to  a kg of good Chinese or Japananese green tea.

It would be exceedingly expensive if I smoked , drank and was addicted to coffee, so perhaps for me at least 2 out of 3 isn?t bad.

I am being the devils advocate here.  But it?s still cheaper than most addictions, including Laverda?s  :D I?m not even going anywhere near illicit substances.

So in all , if the farmer gets a fair price and can them live some sort of a nice life , my friends add value , and I enjoy it, then it holds value to me.

I agree totally, especially buying certified fair deal for the farmers, on almost every thing possible. For me coffee is the only inebriant I indulge and though our Rancilio is a few pegs down from the top notch gear coming up here, it does the business for us, and I virtually never get a coffee at a cafe here in Norway at eq of ? 4.50 a cup.
I showed my engineer an ad for a new flash Ducati with their own finance, payments were the equivalent of his monthly cigarette use, but he preferred to smoke.

I quite agree but I suspect that at that price, it's not the cultivators who are the prime beneficiaries.

I buy fair trade organic coffee for ?10/kg.
Certainly not high quality but that is 4 times less expensive.

I've asked them for q quote to ship to California. Of course it is not cheap, but just as I am sure there are people who are adamant they only drink " good " scotch, why can someone not drink " good " coffee if they want to ?

It?s definitely fun tasting.  It?s quite good to taste against something too.  Mass roasted illy or lavazza are actually quite good and offer a really good median to taste against.  Love the label on the Lucaffe!
