Exhaust/Silencers for an Alpino S

So I now own a Laverda Alpino S. Had Carbs refurbed, and waiting on return of tank as needed a respray. Struggling to find a different set of silencers to fit. Have ordered Armours Ltd, as made to order. Is there anything else out there I've missed?

As far as I know, there are no new original type silencers.
I'm after a pair for my wifes 500.

Armours silencers are good. Not at all convinced by their stainless pipes. The collets on mine started going AWOL after 3 weeks and I never got an answer to my mail to Armours.

Tippie. Your probably right, mines a Monty spec motor with S1 camshaft, rebored to 510cc with JE hi comp pistons and open carbs, very difficult to be discreet at tickover and gets worse from there on.

Noise is becoming a BIG hindrance to enjoying a non-baffled Laverda. I've put a lot of effort into building an exhaust system that gives me performance at a decent db level - untried as yet, but hoping for a good result.

These are the mufflers I replaced. Not sure what they are off of originally - they have Laverda part numbers - but they sounded OK without being overly loud.

Hope it does what I want it to (in my head), Cam! Just another thing on the SFQ that has leached hours from my life's remaining stock :oops:
Just finished an ignition switch mounting plate to fit the ZXR dash (going where the old temp gauge was) - leach another few hours from that dwindling reserve!! Gotta move it along now - with Jag et al dumping the ICE (internal combustion engine) by 2025, surely we're staring down the 'Kodak Ekta' barrel!!

Yes, not Jag, but the major car manufacturers.
Renault Nissan also has a 2025 cut off date.
ICEs will be all but off limits in most European towns by then.

Are you looking for a pair of original ones? I have one pair of Lafranconi available, and a second pair available after I have received the monty ones from Malcolm...

The Conti's are not quite as good as they look - one has a fair scratch on the outlet end and the second a small hole in the side (both likely the result of an accident at some stage).
