For my Fellow Whiskey and Scotch INDULGER'S - HIC! ;o)

I tend to favour the Speyside Single Malts, The Dalmore King Alexander III being my favourite.
The Islay peaty ones put me in mind of a tinker's bunnet.
I retain an open mind, though, and was recently introduced to an Indian Single Malt which is very drinkable.

It sounds like you’ve got a real knack for mixing up some classic drinks with your own twist. Going halfsies with Wizer's Deluxe Whiskey and Grant's Scotch, then jazzing it up with peach juice, huh? That's quite the concoction! Keeping it chilled with ice for the whiskey blend and savoring the Scotch straight at room temperature – you're definitely doing it old school. And I gotta say, the enthusiasm for a Canadian distillery at 76 is downright inspiring! It’s like you’re saying, "Age is just a number, and I’m here to enjoy every sip." Keep living it up and savoring those flavors, mate!

For the money I buy Wizer's Delux Whiskey and Grants Scotch.
50/50 mix with the cheapest peach juice and ice for the Whiskey and the Scotch straight up at room temp - HIC!!!!!

This CANADIAN Distillery has me Jonesing - At 76 I don't have much time left to INDULGE ;o)

Long time member of the Cdn Scotch Malt Whiskey Society. Have travelled the world to sample single malt experiences since I was a wee lad. I must admit to being a big fan of North Speyside scotches, definitely never been a fan of the big peaty scotches.
My favourite single pot malt whiskey I must say, is not a scotch, but an Irish whiskey, my beloved Red Breast.

Red Breast?
A result of way too much attention…

Frankly, I’m not a big fan of Whiskey and Scotches. Sipping a drink that burns on the way down should be limited to Grappa.

Oh, but there are indeed scotches, and single pit whiskeys that are velvet smooth, it really depends on the origin, with scotch anyways.
I’m a 40 yr craft brewer, grow my own hops, crush my grains, only thing I source is the live yeast. Nothing ever in volume, special, each a one off. It’s how it should be.

If you ever get a chance, mine was a cunning salesman at World of Whiskies in an airport, have a taste of The Dalmore, King Alexander III, Chris.
Smooooooth as silk.
The only burning is to your wallet, but it's worth every penny!
 
I’m a fan of single malt Scottish and Irish whiskey but this was given to me by a work colleague in Germany as a leavening gift.
He is a whiskey club member who goes to educational meetings and tastings.
So when he says it’s good it most probably is excellent.
I’m looking forward to opening it.
I’m waiting to open it when with another work colleague and his partner as they enthusiastic triers of whiskey. A pleasure shared with friends is a pleasure doubled.

there is a lot of whiskey talk going on here and a little whisky talk as well, but it seems that none of you know the difference, which is huge, look it up.

ps current favourite is Monkey Shoulder, have tried the old poultenay, usually bottled in a still shaped bottle, had one sent to me by a Jock pal from years ago (thanks Pat) it was superb but cant buy it locally.

After sampling many whiskies, and even working on Whyte & Mackay (Isle of Jura, etc.) as an adman. I have to admit I’ve not found anything to better some of the finer Japanese whiskies. Really superb. Here’s something rare, I’m saving for a special occasion.

general_piffle: I rode a 1984/86 model of that 1100 GRX1100 Katana for one summer and sold it in the fall. WAY TOO FAST for ME ;o)
NOT that I could not handle it but when I see the speedo doing 140 mph at cruise you know your NOT going to survive for long.

That Japanese moped SHUT DOWN Breganzie and the Laverda 3CL - I need a shot of Scotch ;o)

I HATE Canadian Club just as much as American Jack Daniels.

However there just might be a descent Bourbon out there - Somewhere.
