Anybody else experiencing speed issues with the Forum? Seems like the handbrake has been pulled the last 3 days.

While my internet speed is generally excellent and everything else works as it should, the Forum is painfully slow. Takes ages to either go from one page to the next or load a photo.

Just me, or a global issue?

my internet anyway is slow but I did not have any changes in the last days. Mybe it wil be better soon as the guys outside are just working to install glas fibre cables 😄

A windows update hasn't helped much either, PMs and attached images still take very long.

Must be me then...

Jon,

Can't expect a 'pooter luddite like myself to get his head around such nerdy stuff. Needs to be plug-n-play, with a minimum of personal input, for me.

This is the only site I'm having problems with.

In our company we had a help desk in the IT department you could call for any problem. First advise was „ have you ever tried a new start ?“ 😂😂

Working fine accessing from Thailand, Piet. Nothing showing on the stablepoint service page either (we're hosted on their London servers)

A little distance NW of you all is working well. Maybe worth to rectify the "temp" folder of your computer.
Jo,
I understand that would affect the entire computer, not only on a single web site. Yes, I do take out the trash regularly.

Anyway, almost back to normal now, images still load slower than they used to. Thanks to all for your thoughts. (y)

That's where deleting the cookies helps... If you have chrome or Safari, go to the 3 dots on the top right, click on settings and then on Security & Data protection (or similar). There you should be able to delete the cookies and the browser-data. Don't delete Passwords and accounts, else you need to re-type all passwords next time you want to log in...

I supposedly have ultra fast fiber into my house, but at times I still have buffering and connectivity issues with my internet. I then get into a 'discussion' with my supplier who then blames everyone else for my issues. The only pages I seem to have a problem with on a regular basis is the 'music in the shed' thread, possibly because of all the links to utube/vevo etc.

Andy,
Check your connection with a speed test, i.e. www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk
Do this in the early AM, at noon and in the evening.
Ping response will tell you a lot about your connection.
Also how is your 'puter connected? Wifi to router, LAN to router?

I've had the same issue, Piet. Tried to post a couple of pics yesterday, gave up in disgust after about 20 minutes. And we have fibre broadband. All other websites seemed normal...

Thanks Steve, that's reassuring. ;)

Fibre ends about 3km from my hamlet, bush drums from there on...

Much the same for mobile reception. We supposedly have 100% LTE/4G coverage and 95% 5G, neither work satisfactorily. At least the phone works OK over wi-fi within the house and parts of the property. Germany is still pretty lo-tech in many regards.

Hello Piet, I have heard that some providers (e.g. Telecom) are currently working on switching from ipv4 to ipv6 addresses, and that this can temporarily affect the accessibility of some sites. In any case, this was my explanation for the poor accessibility of the German Laverda Register site and the international forum... Greetings Johann
