Got around to fitting the chain and sprockets on the Mirage (1979) to find the new front / gearbox sprocket is different to the original. This won't go on far enough to fit the locking ring. The original has a taper machined to one side that mates to the output shaft, the replacement doesn't.
Now; am I missing something, have B&C sent one for a deferent model, or have they simply forgotten to machine the taper to the inside? Your thoughts (on the sprockets
) so when phoning I can at least sound as if I know what I'm talking about
Should be a couple of pictures.
Thanks,
Maitland.
