Hi Jgfabs,
I am aware that your original request was for a good fuel stabiliser for bikes stored for long periods without draining down fuel system.
I am no expert and I am aware we all have our own experiences.
I am a sea going Seaman, I have been away from home at sea for, at times up to a year.
It is my preferred method to drain carburettors by first removing float bowls, ensuring no water accumulation is present.
Remove all fuel from the tank, taps and pipework. Compressed air helps. Alcohol rinse helps too.
Lightly lubricate taps, polymer components and seals etc with compatible oil/preservative.
This all sounds like a lot of work but does ensure on my return that a battery charge, splash of fresh fuel and pump of air in the tyres and we are good to go.
I have been surprised at the quantity of water in the float bowls of my Laverda after very few wet kilometres.
Just my half penney worth.
