Thanks Marnix.
Ditto. The 'Lights' idiot light on my Ducrappi has stopped working ... and I know I'm gonna have to replace it sooner rather than later. (Means pissing about digging out the sealant and re-soldering in a new one; but, "When you have to, you have to ...")My OCD simply will not allow a non-working light.![]()
True, Vince - ta. But you know how it goes ... "If you can repair it, then bloody well repair it"They have been remanufactured, you can buy them new. They haven't been available for years
My Mitsubishi Delica has about 5 of them to detect the various operating modes of the transmission and light up various idiot lights in the dash. 2WD, 4WD, high/low range, diff locked/unlocked, etc. The diff lock one has been playing up lately. It flickers on occasionally when the diff isn't locked. Annoys the crap out of me, especially at night because the dash light is quite bright. Many cars use that type of switch for gear indicator/ reverse light switches and some have more than one.
Genius suggestion to fix this.I'd be more inclined to drill and use a small self-tapper to secure a ring terminal.
Less risk of melting the insulation.
Hi ShaunI had them hand made by my friend at Motorworks, for triples and twins as there were no suppliers,,took a lot of setting up,so my price is what it is,I am no longer making them as my engineer retired, and only have 3 or 4 of each left. As Lidl says when there gone there gone.
