Go West young man...........

Nice read, thanks. In my younger self I worked for the WA Health Dept taking Xrays. They used me as a speed filler in the SW of WA if someone in the country took crook so I spent several years doing long distance solo rides covering the area bounded by Perth, Kalgoorlie, Esperance, and Albany and all towns with a hospital in between. First riding the Kwaka 900 and then 3CL. Perth to Esperance (700km) was an easy ride and still OK if I went via Kalgoorlie to visit mates which was closer to 1000km. These days a couple of hundred k's and my back and knees are screaming at me to stop.

Good to see you are still travelling well.

Yep, not about distance on this ride Davo, just a quick nip out and back to see Marty and crew.
I am following their trip with interest but more with Envy:)
Funny thing distance, can still do 1,000+km day on the Jota (if absolutely necessary!) but prefer to keep it under say about 800 to 850ks and be off the road by animal witching hour.
The Eagle is a different matter. 600 to 650kms seems to fill the day nicely and engenders a different mindset and a look around (as per my "touristy" report:LOL:)
Is that what they call stopping to smell the roses??

Great trip story and especially your photos as they capture some of what us Europeans can imagine - doing a trip solo allows you to take time and pictures - that bike seems ideal - reminds me of JLOs Raid book

Just read your trip journal from start to finish, Peter. Had only read bits and pieces. Great stuff. The Eagle would be perfect for it. I love the backroads motorcycling journeys.
