I have just joined the Laverdaforum!

Skidmarx do still make the screen, they still have the moulds, and they can make it an any of the colours shown on their website but not the correct light blue tint, three weeks ago I sent them a small piece of broken (correct) screen about the size of ones hand palm, the idea was to see if they could obtain the correct shade of perspex, and to find out how many screens will come out of one sheet, I offerred to buy all of them, to make that work, but have not heard anything yet.

CLEM
Hi Clem, you have done a great job. Let's hope they will get back to you with a positive answer. By the way, I have slightly changed my previous reply to you about the colour of the plexiglass on my fairing - made by Skidmarx - I have checked this morning and it's somehow smoked grey.... and not smoked brown. Of course I would have preferred it being towards the light blue as the original, but better this than nothing. Domenico

:ROFLMAO: that from a person, that was born in the "empire", which slaved and robbed 25% of the world, and that moved to France, a country that constantly was in war with the rest of Europe, stomping across uncountable countries to fail against russia? Oh well... we have a saying here: you shouldn't throw stones while sitting in a glasshouse with very thin panes... :ROFLMAO:
Lothar,
I have no wish to make an issue of this here.
Since you implied the superiority of German administration compared to others, I reminded you that German administration brought images of a lot of pain and suffering for many people in Europe and that your comment was unfortunate, to say the least.
I thought you'd understood but you found it necessary to post the above which is a totally obscene comment, putting on the same level the organised massacre of millions of people with the less glorious moments of the history of other countries.
It also goes to show your extremely limited world view, or Weltanschauung if you prefer.
It just so happens that I'm currently researching the history of one of my father's brothers. He lived in France and one fine morning of the winter of 1943, was arrested by the Sicherheitsdienst, German administration, handed over to the French administration in the form of it's police which kept him under guard until July 18th 1943 when the French national railways took him under German guard to Auschwitz where he was gassed by the German administration on arrival on July 23rd 1943. The meticulous German administration recorded all of that in its books. During that time, my father, Lieutenant in the French army was held in an Oflag where the Wermacht nearly burnt all the Jewish prisoners alive but left when the American army arrived. My mother meanwhile, was serving with the British army in India whilst her cousin Fritz was shot down with his Heinkel above London. He survived and spent the rest of the war under guard of the British administration.
My paternal Grand parents are from Frankfurt am Main and Heilbronn.
One can be excused for not knowing Lothar, but not for a total lack of modesty which would require you to stay silent.
To quote Hamlet: "there are more things in heaven and earth Horatio than are dreamt of in your philosophy" or to quote Michel Audiard, " les cons, ça ose tout, c'est même à ça qu'on les reconnaît".

Hi Lee,
All the leftover parts I left at my mates place where I built the Motodd. I guess they were all sold eventually. Wasn't worried about the monetary value as I was fortunately invited to live in his Dorking mansion cost free for the 4 months prior to leaving the UK and even built the motodd in the living room. Was a pretty cool place to live with stables full of exotic bikes and cars and 16 acres of paddocks to hoon the maico500 around.

Ciao Domenico from North Yorks My first one was a grey Sport which I sold unwisely henc buying this one put back together by Ged Shorten.

Buongiorno Rod! Your 1200 looks like a Jota, basically a clever combination of the two. :) Yes, today is not sunny at all here in Yorkshire. Let's meet sometimes next year at Squires Cafè near Leeds... Cheers mate!

Hi Rod

interesting look. No rear fender, tail section and underseat panel for 1200 TS, side panels for early 1000/1200, tank from earlier 1000, seat from 1000 Jota, front fender from earlier 1000/1200. It all works together pretty well.

Bought it as it is, a nice combo by Jed Shorten he said the bike was propped up outside and had suffered, being neglected for a long time. It goes nicely after Keith Nairn had it for a while late last year, so i also have a clear idea of what needs doing in the fullness of time. Everything pressing was done. and will make its way back to Keith when necessary. Adomani
