Is the 750 twin a load bearing frame member?

Quentin, stock 74-76 SFC 2-2 system. Works well with the SF2 motor without being too obnoxious, quite suitable for an elderly gentleman.
Rob, while we pulled some strings doing all the TÜV paperwork at OCT, Andrew ran into problems when he wanted to register the bike in Germany! Turned out he had never "officially" imported it and owed a bit in customs duty. Apparently all sorted now, hope he's enjoying the bike. Lots of minor niggles and inconsistancies on that frame.
Paul, I'd suspect BSA copied the Rickman brothers. AfaIk, the eccentric swingarm pivot adjusters first appeared on the BSA B25, B44 and B50 models, the Metisse pre-dated those by quite a bit. I'd also suspect BSA would have taken out patents for the system, preventing Rickman and others from copying it for quite some time. Rickman possibly did not have the resources fot that at the time. The 1962 G80CS Metisse had eccentrics while the 1965 441 Victor still had the convential eyelet at the axle.
