I didn't know they were a sideways V6. Lack of access for maintenance is an issue with many modern cars. That's why I don't have one. I do nearly all of my own maintenance. It would seriously give me the shits if I couldn't get at stuff.Mazda Tribute, 3litre V6. It's tight in the engine bay, the alternator was replaced a while back, via the driver's wheel well. The rear bank of plugs is very hard to get at
I was wondering if someone would pick that.Cam,
Champion NxC eg. are advertised as having a Cu core, not the centre electrode in Cu.
Took bike for its first proper run today. Runs fine, picks up really smoothly. Ticks over nicely. Turn off when hot, still wont start. Battery is 12.9v, plugs are new. ?????After riding my Jota for the first time a few weeks ago, I noticed it was missing when I tried to rev over 5k. It also was a pig to start when warm. I have since stripped the carbs, cleaned and replaced gaskets etc
Starts fine off the choke, warms up, ticks over be it a bit lumpy at about 1500 revs. Turn it off. Struggles to start
I thought it may be heat sync but the inlet stubs have nylon bushes and there’s little heat in the carbs
Any ideas?

For clarification: Can you please describe your actions, while trying to start from hot?Took bike for its first proper run today. Runs fine, picks up really smoothly. Ticks over nicely. Turn off when hot, still wont start. Battery is 12.9v, plugs are new. ?????
Bike runs fine and ticks over. As soon as you turn it off, it won’t start until it goes cold. Turns over quickly. Tried no throttle, part throttle, varying throttleFor clarification: Can you please describe your actions, while trying to start from hot?
How about with some choke?Bike runs fine and ticks over. As soon as you turn it off, it won’t start until it goes cold. Turns over quickly. Tried no throttle, part throttle, varying throttle
I understand it’s a DelOrto thing, they don’t give quite enough fuel at cranking speed, even if they foul plugs at idle.Never had the problem of not starting when hot with my Jota but i know others who have , and i've also been advised by people far more knowledgeable than me that they sometimes need a bit of choke with no throttle - even when hot, worth a try.
Your SF was very poor on the idle jets if I remember correctly. My SF was similar.
Someone else, Paul. My SF was always spot on for carburation. I used to tune them (and every other brand of moto) for a living.Your SF was very poor on the idle jets if I remember correctly.
