Does that indical the mix screws are a touch too lean, I always add an 1/8 of a turn after finding smoothes screw setting and that usually gets a more stable idle. I do remember when I first got the bike it liked 3 pumps of the throttle activating the pumps to start, not so much in later years. You eventually learn what the bike likes and doenst like.
 
My bikes are strange, sometimes they need the choke when hot and other times they don‘t need…. but anyway I get them started….

No Vince. But a slightly richer than optimum idle benefits lift off idle and helps revs drop quickly back to idle. Mixture should be set correctly for the actual idle speed, not the cranking speed - which is why a little extra juice when cranking probably helps.
 
Most triples and the majority of twins require a whiff of choke/enrichener for warm starting. No big deal. Having a triple fire up immediately without the choke is a rare occurance.
