Half the time I cannot make heads or tails from some posts here, I try and be as specific and detailed as possible, and try to remove any ambiguity, even a bit verbose as I find more words get the message across better than less in non-face to face stuff. Reading my younger relos stuff on THAT other site always draws a blank from me. They post a pic with 3 words as the description, no names; locations times the reason why they are there or anything else to explain it. You apparently need to guess all that. At least my latest spell checker works maybe 70% better than it did. Hopefully that helps explain some of my mush here.
 
I needed a bit of a laugh, I need a Covid teat late today. The Eye Hostal requires a negative teat 72 hours before appointments. Mt second test for the whole catastrophe, unpleasant. Some poor buggars must have had dozens, I feel for them. This requirement has suddenly been required. My guess as we come out of lockdown with 80% fully vaxed there upgrading security so the Hospitals don't overload.
 
I thought Rob's comment about Paul M's tedious observations was a bit scathing. But it was so uncharacteristic of Rob's usual conciliatory demeanor that I figured there must have been some jocularity going on behind the scenes.
 
Grammar costs actual money, the Grammarly Spell Check without Grammar is free. My preferred billing rate.
 
It's a brilliant Laptop fix, the plastic captured nut in the plastic hing broke loose. My Computer bloke wacked 3 tiny steel grub screws into the hing. Plastic crap all round. After he sells me it and it broke he tells me Apples are made of alloy, way stronger. Helpful bloke
 
Your post #21 is almost word perfect, Vince, but #22 has some interesting misses from the spell-checker - like needing a covid 'teat' ... is that some sort of maternal fallback for we in lockdown? ;)

I think Rob was just bemoaning a bit of the Eeyore factor regarding someone's pride and joy ... not sure how to spell Eyore/Eyaw/Eeeyaw/Eeeeyore ... you know, the donkey in Winnie the Pooh.

Perhaps there could be a market for an app that does the reverse, takes your perfect spelling and changes it creatively.

just to end the whole word scenario,

I am letting you know that Paul and I have jointly bought said bike for GBP7000 and have re-advertised it for GBP15000

and neither of us has ever made money from Laverda trading, yes on occasions I have bought and sold at a profit, but more often than not at a loss and overall at a huge loss, no one can say that owning and riding several Laverda's is a cheap hobby, even if I was to sell TOG at five times the price I paid in 1980, I would still not make a profit, I have no actual idea, but I bet there is about 25K in her in my 42 years of ownership, and all of them have equated to smiles on the road, but I suppose over the 42 years its not actually bad value for money.

In the ten years that I have owned my Merc it has cost me the buying price all over again, £14,000 ten years ago, and at least that on repairs since (close to 100,000K in my ownership) £1600 last month on air suspension repairs and currently in the body shop for repairs (non fault car crash) and upgrades amounting to another £1600 even at circa 40MPG (or 55MPG if very careful) its just not a cheap car to run.

Paul and I are 100% for 100% of time

I've found a buyer Clem at £15 000. In fact, I've sold a second one built out of bits It'll blow up within 2000 miles but the old collector who's bought it won't be doing that in ten years.
We'll split the profits as usual.

I still have a couple of wheels including a much sought after speedo drive waiting for you as soon as the UK stops drifting about in the Atlantic.

looks to be still far too expensive and hassle as well for a day trip Paul, still dear even if I come for a week, but today I am getting my third jab, as immune suppressants put me in the extremely vulnerable category, I haven't caught it yet and intend to stay that way, but generally I have been shit all summer (not that we had one).
I am getting familiarized with not being in France once a month after so long of not doing it. last trip 19/12/19
