Thanks for the compliments and attention to details. Unfortunately I have only photo reference and have used artistic license on some details. As mentioned the bike is modified and the painting will be finished soon with Limited Edition prints for sale- check out my link https://www.tedgadeckiart.com for more info, thanks

and RGS cam cover? maskes you wonder if its a 120 inside, tacho drive different, timing side crank end etc, but can be done in the format we see, or is it just an optical conclusion? (probably)

When I bought my Jota it didn't have those rubber grommets and spacers. The DPO had bolted the front guard bracket solidly to the forks with just some steel washers as spacers. It wasn't long before it broke from vibration. I oxy-welded it back together with the intention of getting it re-chromed. But I wanted to use the bike that weekend so I gave it a temporary coat of cold galv primer and gloss black top coat so it wouldn't rust, then bolted it back on (with the rubber mounts this time). That was about 14 years ago and it's still on the bike and still black. The weld is holding up OK so far.

I think Teddy is thinking of an optical conclusion by now... scrapping this Laverda painting and starting on a Ducati...

when Moto Laverda first used those front mudguards (SF1) they were solid mounted, the rubbers and (anti crush) spacers with correspondingly larger holes in the brackets came in late 1973/early 1974 model year, as was very common, the rider/owner was doing the development work, I did this to my SF1 after four weeks of ownership, Slaters provided new mudguard brackets FOC, which I drilled out, made spacers and fitted rubbers to, I can't remember what the rubbers were intended for, but this was in the days of being allowed to walk up and down the shelf aisles at the local motor factor, who had stock going back 70 years, since sold on the business and all the old stuff is gone, very sad, but 15 feet of shelves with polish etc on, a great shame but I can understand the space requirements and having to stock things that are constantly selling, instead of staining the shelf for decades earning nothing. The last time I needed a Land Rover starter solenoid for TOG, he said that the last onees were nearly gone and in the future would be next day delivery, in which case, I might as well mail order it myself, oh dear, sad old world.
