what a long old saga,
if you really wanted the definitive answer and fast (ie you have got the wrong ends on your hoses) you could have asked HEL in the first place. correct me if I am wrong but you didn't say that they were newly supplied and previously unused.
What surprises me is that there are people removing and fitting items of a life threatening nature without understanding (FULLY) what is right, it just terrifies me. A lad who works for my son Tom, had some problems with his Chinese (ride to work) trail bike, since he fitted a Suzuki (I think) throttle twist grip, and this item has a pin in the clamp to stop rotation, or sliding off, of the same, even if the pinch bolts come lose, there was no hole in the handlebars to accommodate this, and he found himself out of control, fallen in hedge, thankfully not hurt, all it needed was a 3mm hole drilling in the handlebar, and it would have clamped up nice, instead of horribly, and wouldn't have come off, plus the fact that his screwdriver must have been used as a drift before it got to the screws.
take care everyone, if it doesn't seem right it probably isn't.
