Lobotomy needed for one of our Laverda friends

So heard there is a new look to the forum so thought would wander on and have a captain cook. Also to give it a go of making a post....
Got some extremely bad news this evening. It is devastating to say the least.
One of the Laverda stall wards has lost his marbles me thinks.. not only does he own and own and then ride a trailer queen's type of bike ( ducrappie for the uneducated amongst us ) and have the hide to send me photos of him out on it when he had Laverda royalty with him over Xmas but hot of Rioters is the the poor sick fellow has gone and bought a god dam Triumph bloody Bonneville 750. And his excuse ... "this is what happens when you don't drink"

I will not insult the Laverda purist's here by posting a photo of the oil leaking white with red flash machine..

I tell ya this when the borders are opened its gunna be project labotomy with some Peroini's followed by some good old single grain Irish ( they can spell it not like the unwashed rubbish that you get in the north of Britain )

Oh yeh second thought will give it ago of putting up a pic ( but only a thumbnail as dont want to cause any untoward shock to the greater forum members who are staunch Laverda guys.. ) Lets say a show and shame photo as to be honest cant believe the hide of some to park it next to a couple of Laverda's... some people have zero shame me thinks. If ya all look closely enough you can see the oil dripping out of the thing as it sits there.

Bloody hell, what with America going through a meltdown and the UK going in to full Pangolin lockdown, not to mention the situation in Queensland with the Chinky virus.... those handlebars top it off.

I don't know whats happening to me its like an alien is attacking my brain forcing me to sell my favorite bike (what else could happen to me) correct another alien force attacked my brain and next thing a machine from the past appears leaking oil everywhere and trying to befriend a couple of my Laverda's my beautiful red 3C wont even speak to me in shear disgust I am losing control.
If some noisy american motorcycle appears I will have to resort to some form of medical intervention please help me with some form of support Laverda forum

I share your confusion and anguish, Brett. A friend in the UK, who I had previously thought to be of reasonably sound mind, has also told me he's looking out for one of those POS. F*** me! If it was a triple like T150V or someut we could at least be a bit more forgiving. But a Bonneville! A Bonneville ... !!!

And think what would Massimo say? It's not even one of his beloved Nortons ...
 
The big black line on the floor looks like it could one of those dead body marks they make at crime scenes - is this in readiness for a bonnie's inevitable DOA
 
I think we may be losing him guys, maybe time for an intervention. Someone has to sort this poor sick puppy out. To even have it (can’t even say it’s name) in the same room as our beloved Laverda’s is unforgivable and should be punished.

I guess it’ll come in useful to wear down/out your secret crack of TT100s. You’ll be picking up a T160 next: they leak even more oil!!
 
I had a Bonnie back in the day (late 60's). It was a lovely bike to ride but bits would regularly rattle off and fall on the road. It was a constant battle to keep it reliable. I eventually sold it and bought a Honda 750. The brilliant Japanese engineering and reliability was such a contrast to the old Bonnie that it was like a 50 year leap ahead in technology, whereas in reality the Honda was only about 2 years younger than the Triumph. That was about the time the British bike industry went down the drain. No surprise there.
 
yep ... had a TR7 for a short while (not too long ago) and although it was a nice 'show' bike I soon realised how poorly they were made. I'd never consider a Triumph again. Still love Nortons though.
 
Some people have faith in the 750 Bonneville.Not so long ago Ebay was advertising a yellow Zane 668 whose owner had removed the Monty Mk 3 engine and replaced it with one of Meridens finest,or at least that was the description,couldn`t see behind the fairing.
Had a 750 Bonnie new in `76,the only Triumph I`ve owned that never broke down,although I sold it after 9 months/10,000 miles with one of the big ends knocking.A nice motorcycle but not much use for motorcycling.
